Portrait Series Inspired by the Traveling Dress Project Brings Attention to Baby Loss Awareness Week

Photographer Joanne Lewis commemorates her son in portrait series

In a very intimate and poetic way, Hertfordshire Photographer Joanne Lewis decided to honor her son Phoenix and to place her immense grief in a way that can only translate into a word: love.

I now take commissions to create similar works of art, shadow photos, and storytelling images that bridge reality and the imagination for people from my Hertfordshire based studio.

For Baby Loss Awareness Week (Oct 9-15), photographer Joanne Lewis, who has a studio in Hertford, took photos of 14 fellow members of East Herts Sands to break the taboo that surrounds the death of a baby.
