Hertfordshire Photographer - What sessions are on offer?

Your ideal photoshoot in Hertfordshire and Essex? I've got you covered
I offer a variety shoots in and around Hertfordshire and Essex where you may be looking for a Photographer.
You may not be aware of what is available and what each photoshoot includes, so I thought I would offer a summary here:
Newborn Baby
I take newborn bookings from 12 weeks. I typically photograph newborn babies between days 4 and 14
while they’re still squishy and sleepy. I will pencil an approximate date in the diary based on your due date.
My newborn sessions can last between 2 and 4 hours depending on your baby's disposition on the day. I never rush or force positions and work around feeds and cuddles. At this age, I will aim to get a variety of naked, wrapped and posed images in props. I can never guarantee we will get a specific shot, but will always try my best.
If you have missed the early newborn baby stage, I am still happy to have older babies in for a more relaxed 1-hour mini session. This shoot is more natural with parent cuddles, details and fewer poses.
Sitter Session for Toddlers
As part of your baby's first year, they will hit so many milestones. Before you know it the event you've been waiting for so eagerly has come and gone. This is why hiring a photographer can be so important.
Once your baby is sitting, typically around 7 months, a sitter session is an amazing way to document these changes.
Cake smash and splash
Possibly my favourite session. I love this shoot which is typically aimed at children around their first birthday... although I did one with my own son for his second, and third birthday's. Even a very special 40th with balloons, champagne and chocolates.
At a cake smash, I start with a few nice portraits in smart clothes, then the toddler will usually be given a cake to play with and eat. This makes for a lot of fun and some really great natural photos... In cases of intolerances (or simply for preference), the cake can be exchanged for a watermelon or even a wooden cake.
Once they've got nice and messy, I get out a little tub with some warm water and bubbles which usually induces joy and wonder.
Family Studio Sessions
Would you like to capture some timeless photos of your family? Let me freeze this moment in time for you. Fun relaxed sessions in my Hertford studio (or out on location) where your personalities shine through. These shoots make beautiful portraits for your walls and amazing gifts for grandparents.
You will be invited back to my studio around two weeks after your session to view your final gallery of around 15 beautiful edited and enhanced images. This is your opportunity to choose which photos you love for your walls and decide which package you may wish to purchase.
Due to the size of my studio, standard family sessions are limited to 6 people... I can accommodate much larger groups with notice and planning. I often find that people who have come to me for a newborn shoot return with their entire families for a special anniversary or as a Christmas gift for grandparents.
Please discuss larger groups or specific requirements with me when booking.
Seasonal Mini sessions.
The outdoors is always beautiful, but at specific times of the year, it is significantly enhanced. Subject to availability I may be able to offer full, or mini photoshoots on specific dates throughout the year.
My favourites are Bluebells in the Spring, lavender and sunflowers in the Summer, poppies and falling leaves in the Autumn and Snow in the winter (this can be edited in as we are so rarely blessed with the white stuff).
Easter, back to school, and Christmas mini sessions are also very popular in my Hertford studio.
Lifestyle
Photography sessions in your own home (within Hertfordshire, Essex, Cambridge, Bedford and London) that capture the real you. These sessions are usually aimed at the whole family unit, and documenting your home and what you all like to do there. These sessions are especially great for families who have recently renovated or have a lot of large windowns and natural light.
