Photography with SEND families in Hertfordshire

Are you considering a family photoshoot with SEND?

Over the last few years, I have become one of Hertfordshire's most sought after photographer for families with additional needs. I have worked with many local charities and families who use SPACE Herts, ADDvance, Angels, Families in focus, and members of Bishops Stortford, Hertford and Ware Additional needs Mums groups.

Why, you may ask? Well, because of these two angelic looking little terrors.

My boys are both Autistic, the youngest was born prematurely at 32 weeks, was in the NICU, SCBU, and came home with a feeding tube, and the eldest has ADHD too.  So, when you enter my studio with a child who has sensory processing issues, may get distressed with transitions, doesn't like eye contact, or maybe has other behavioural, neurological or physical challenges, I haven't just met a family with similar needs - I have lived it.
Most families with special needs children come to me because they have seen my wonderful photos, but more importantly, have heard the many reviews from other families who have felt relaxed in my studio and seen their children relax in an environment with no pressure or expectations.

I had a lovely family in last week who I met via the Additional Support for Additional Needs - Parents (Ware and Hertford) group who left me this lovely recommendation on the facebook group page: "Hi everyone, I just wanted to post to say that we recently had a photography session with Joanne Lewis who took the most beautiful photographs of our children. We wanted someone who was patient and who really understood the reason we wanted updated photos. Chester had plenty of time to settle down and although they were a little whirlwind together, the pics are lovely! Absolutely love them and I would highly recommend her".

If you are looking for a photographer close to Hertfordshire, Essex, North London or Cambridgeshire, please contact me with any questions about how I can make your photoshoot easier (I can send photos of the studio and help with social stories upon request).

I also photograph Newborn babies, and am friends with some incredible photographers in this industry. I am so proud to shout out to my friend Natalie Moss who won Newborn Photographer of the year 2019 at the Societies of Photographers International Awards last week. Check out her blog about winning and Maternity and Baby Photo Shoots in Surrey.

Gift Voucher for Photography Sessions
by Joanne Lewis 26 Nov, 2020
I couldn't let Black Friday 2020 go by without some amazing deals for my wonderful and valued customers... I've missed you all so much this year, but have loved the few shoots I was able to squeeze in between lockdowns and Home Education. With all the optimism I can muster for next year (I am naturally a pretty positive person) I am offering some spectacular deals on vouchers for my Hertford Studio and outdoor or on-location sessions next year (packages may be given as gifts, but please confirm preferred locations around Hertfordshire and some parts of London, Cambridgeshire and Essex with me before booking).
